Reorganisation of the website of the journal

The journal site was reorganised, whereby each article is now presented on its own page having a unique web address (URL) and contains the main set of data about the publication: title, author(s), abstract, keywords, the output data of the article, date of publication, DOI, link to the full text of the article, additional electronic materials (if available) and references. Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are associated with these unique page addresses. Currently, work to assign DOIs to articles of the archive issues of the journal is underway.

Also website sections and pages were optimised in accordance with the standards of the Open Graph protocol. This implies a special internal markup of pages to ensure full integration of website content with various commonly used and specialised social networks, search services, correct display of content and citation in them.

Online publication and a new format of the journal

Starting from the 54th issue (2018), articles of Zoosystematica Rossica are published online in a new, larger format. All articles are registered in the Official Register of Zoological Nomenclature (ZooBank) and archived in the Zenodo digital repository. Nomenclature acts become valid from the moment when the article that contains them is published online.

The published online articles of each volume, as before, are completed in two issues, published on paper twice a year. In accordance with the change in the format and mode of publication, the rules for authors have been also changed; they are available in the corresponding section of the journal website.
